IN THE CIRCUIT COURT OF FLORIDA, SEVENTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT
IN AND FOR FLAGLER, PUTNAM AND ST. JOHNS COUNTIES


RE: Criminal Court Proceedings by Audio-Visual Device        
REF: CR-2017-011-FG/PT/SJ

WHEREAS, Rules 3.130 and 3.160, Florida Rules of Criminal Procedure, authorize the use of audio-visual technology to conduct certain proceedings, and

WHEREAS, equipment has been purchased and installed in Flagler, Putnam and St. Johns counties for these purposes, and

WHEREAS, it has been determined that the use of such equipment/technology enhances public safety and reduces inmate transportation costs;

NOW THEREFORE, I, TERENCE R. PERKINS, Chief Judge of the Seventh Judicial Circuit of Florida, hereby order that when authorized by the Florida Rules of Criminal Procedure, court proceedings may be conducted using audio-visual devices/technology in Flagler, Putnam and St. Johns counties.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the use of the aforementioned equipment/technology is at the discretion of the presiding judge and its use is not required.
