RE: VISITATION SCHEDULES / GUIDELINES

WHEREAS, pursuant to § 61.13, Florida Statutes, it is the public policy of Florida to assure that each minor child has frequent and continuing contacts with both parents after the parents separate or the marriage of the parties is dissolved and to encourage parents to share the rights and responsibilities and joys of childrearing, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to § 61.13, Florida Statutes, parental responsibility for a minor child must be shared by both parents unless the court finds that shared parental responsibility would be detrimental to the child, and
WHEREAS, it has been made known to the undersigned that the efficient and proper administration of justice requires that visitation schedules / guidelines be developed to assist parties in structuring visitation arrangements that best meet the needs of their children and themselves;
NOW THEREFORE, I, WILLIAM A. PARSONS, Chief Judge of the Seventh Judicial Circuit of Florida, hereby adopt the attached Visitation Schedules / Guidelines for use in the Seventh Judicial Circuit to assist parties in structuring visitation arrangements that best meet their needs and those of their children. Terms of this Order should not be construed as to require the use of the attached visitation schedules / guidelines in individual cases.
