IN THE CIRCUIT COURT OF FLORIDA, SEVENTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT
IN AND FOR FLAGLER, PUTNAM, ST. JOHNS AND VOLUSIA COUNTIES


RE: Guardianship Examining Committees
REF: PB-2016-018-SC
Rescinds PB-2008-18-SC

WHEREAS, § 744.331(3)(d), Florida Statutes, requires individuals serving as members of guardianship examining committees to complete a minimum of four (4) hours of initial training and two (2) hours of continuing education every 2 years thereafter, and

WHEREAS, said training, developed under the supervision of the Office of Public and Professional Guardians, is available to individuals in the Seventh Judicial Circuit, and

WHEREAS, § 744.331(3)(c), Florida Statutes, requires the chief judge to prepare a list of individuals qualified to serve as members of guardianship examining committees;

NOW THEREFORE, I, TERENCE R. PERKINS, Chief Judge of the Seventh Judicial Circuit of Florida, hereby order that those individuals whose names appear on the list attached hereto as “Exhibit A” are qualified to serve as members of guardianship examining committees in the Seventh Judicial Circuit.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that in-person, video, internet and all other examining committee training and education courses that meet statutory criteria are hereby approved and accepted in the Seventh Judicial Circuit.  

TO BE RECORDED in Flagler, Putnam, St. Johns and Volusia counties.
