Judicial Assistant - Jennifer Sirman

Circuit Judge Christopher A. France was appointed to the bench in 2016. Prior to becoming judge, he served as an Assistant State Attorney in the Seventh Judicial Circuit for 18 years, taking on leadership roles in environmental crimes, sex crimes, drug enforcement and the homicide investigative unit and serving as division chief in the St. Johns County office. He also worked as a staff attorney at the Putnam County Courthouse for the Seventh Judicial Circuit and was appointed chair of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee. Judge France earned both a bachelor's degree and a juris doctor at Loyola University New Orleans. He currently presides over civil cases at the Volusia County Courthouse Annex in Daytona Beach.

Foreclosure cases are required to mail in Proposed Orders with envelopes. If Orders are e-mailed to, they are to be served to the Pro se litigants by the Plaintiff’s attorney once executed.

Tobacco cases (Engle progeny) - Senior Judge J. David Walsh will be presiding over the tobacco cases.  Tobacco hearings will be held on March 27 and April 20  at the Volusia County Courthouse Annex, 125 E. Orange Ave, in Daytona Beach. Please contact Jennifer, the Judicial Assistant to Judge France, if additional dates are needed. Please note: Tobacco Trials will be held at the Historic Courthouse in DeLand.
