St. Johns County Court Judge Alexander R. Christine, Jr., was appointed to the bench in 2010. Before his appointment, he was in private practice for more than 20 years and also worked for the State Attorney’s Office in the Seventh Judicial Circuit. Judge Christine earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky and a juris doctor from the University of Florida College of Law. He currently hears criminal and civil cases at the Richard O. Watson Judicial Center in St. Augustine. He also presides over St. Johns County Adult Drug Court.

Setting Hearings / Trials
Hearing and Trial times can be obtained by contacting Judge Christine’s office at (904) 827-5613 and conferencing in opposing counsel.  Motions should be filed prior to the setting of a hearing.

**Note:  As of March 1st 2017, Proposed Orders where there is Counsel for all parties are to be e-mailed to Judge Alexander R. Christine, Jr. at division65@circuit7.org in Word format.  The Order should list all parties to whom the copies should go to (such as: criminal cases: State Attorney, Public Defender, and Probation Plus or St. Johns Sheriff’s Office – Booking, Warrants and on civil cases: Plaintiff’s Counsel, Defendant’s Counsel, etc.).
If you have a civil case with a pro-se party or a garnishment, then you will need to mail your proposed order along with copies and self-address envelopes.
