Volusia County Court Judge Mary Jane Henderson was elected to the bench in 1990. Before becoming a judge, she handled family law and criminal defense cases in private practice in New Smyrna Beach. She earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama and a juris doctor from Samford University. Past judicial assignments include civil and criminal county court cases. Judge Henderson currently hears county civil cases at the Volusia County Courthouse Annex in Daytona Beach.
