Volusia County Court Judge Mary Jane Henderson was elected to the bench in 1990. Before becoming a judge, she handled family law and criminal defense cases in private practice in New Smyrna Beach. She earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama and a juris doctor from Samford University. Past judicial assignments include civil and criminal county court cases. Judge Henderson currently hears county civil cases at the Volusia County Courthouse in DeLand.
